Register for our events on your mobile

You can now register for events listed on UKSpirituality on your mobile. Visit the mobile site, sign in or sign up, view the events that are listed, and click on "register for this event".

The benefit of registering for an event is that you can sign up for a reminder email, and you will receive emails about any last-minute changes to the event. If the event has a limited number of places, then your place on it is assured by registering for it.

UKSpirituality now has a mobile site, optimised for mobile users. Take a look!

You can view event listings, resources, spiritual practices, and a random quote of the moment.

We will be adding more functionality (specifically the ability to register for events) soon.

If you access our main website with a mobile browser, you will be redirected to the mobile site, but you can opt out and use the main site if you prefer by clicking on "Exit mobile site" at the bottom of the mobile page.

New Facebook app

I have now created an embedded UK Spirituality application in Facebook which pulls the events from UK Spirituality, and where people can register for the event by clicking on a button in the Facebook application.

The application is part of the UK Spirituality page, but it can also be used separately.

New Facebook page

We already had a Facebook group, but now we have created a Facebook page. The page will display recent blogposts and new events that have been posted on the site.

You'll still need to visit the website to add events and register for them.

New resources area

We're very excited because we have just created a new resources area for the UKSpirituality site. It includes resources from several different traditions, and you can suggest a resource as well. We hope to build up a database of resources for people to use in their rituals and services.

Resources are organised into the following categories:

• Meditations and reflections
• Poetry
• Prayers
• Quotations
• Recommended books
• Recommended websites
• Spiritual practices
• Stories

New-look event form

Our forms for adding events and updating events are now easier to use - I have added a date picker to the date field, so a little calendar pops up when you click into the date field (or click on the calendar button next to it), and allows you to select the date of your event.

I also looked at time pickers, but these were generally hard to use and slower than entering the time in the format that we currently have.

I hope that people will now find it easier to add and edit their events.

UK Spirituality forum

Our forum now has distinct areas for discussing spirituality, introducing yourself, showcasing products and services and creative projects, and meeting like-minded people in your area.
